The Synopsis of The Landline Collective
Imagine this: in the middle of the night, you wake up from a dream of a young boy between the ages of five and ten being kidnapped in broad daylight from the front yard of his house. For two weeks, he has been missing. His mother has been distraught and hasn’t been able to sleep, whereas his father was dead before he was born. Two weeks later, despite the abandoned house across from where the young boy lived having been thoroughly searched by police officers, a police officer wannabe detective found the boy in its attic, dead.
Sarah-Jane Michaels woke up from the dream in a cold sweat, thinking it was only an oddly vivid dream. However, one evening, as she was watching the news while eating dinner, the news reporter reported on police officers recently finding a missing boy who had been missing for two weeks, and lo and behold, it was the same missing boy Sarah-Jane dreamt about. Shaken up over the situation, Sarah-Jane decided it was best to try and ignore the problem, thinking it would blow over.
However, every time Sarah-Jane naps and sleeps, she has vivid dreams, whether it’s crimes or someone’s everyday life. So, she begins writing them down in the hopes of helping this sinking feeling she constantly feels after waking up from those dreams.
One afternoon, though, while having her friend, Dorthy, over, Dorthy happens across Sarah-Jane’s “dream diary” notebook and encourages Sarah-Jane to start a blog, documenting her eerie and strange dreams. So, Sarah-Jane does.
As her blog gains traction, Sarah-Jane receives emails regarding people wanting her help. At first, she’s apprehensive, but after continuing to read the desperate emails from desperate people, she decides to help them and becomes a private investigator (P.I.).
Come along for the ride that Sarah-Jane Michaels’ life takes you through.
